E-learning challenged parents and students alike last school year and threatens to frustrate again this year. Betsy will explore why e-learning is so difficult for many of us and, more importantly, what you can do to make it more bearable for your student through positive behavior supports.

Betsy York, MSW is a behavior consultant with CRF First Choice and works with kids and adults with an intellectual disability through the BDDS Medicaid Waiver. She graduated from Indiana University Indianapolis in 2009 with her Masters of Social Work. Her social work career started in community development but quickly fizzled when she realized writing grants for housing projects was far too impersonal for her taste. Thanks to a bit of serendipity, Betsy found her way to her current role-better known as the job she never knew she always wanted. Now, she spends her days teaching folks about emotions and boundaries, helping them explore better ways to handle sticky situations, and encouraging them to bloom into their beautiful, best self.
